Usually, they make me laugh out loud, which is quite a feat.
However, one that I saw today sort of took the wind out of my giggly sails...
This is funny because of the original "lolrus" post on icanhascheezburger, but it sort of took a serious turn i wasn't prepared for... sheesh.

icanhascheezburger is consistently the most hit blog on wordpress. I don't get it, lolcats aren't funny to me! Poor polar bear, I am reducing my carbon footprint as best as I can.
Well, the sweet, white, seemingly helpless polar bear is really ok. I am aware of the global changes we are experiencing - maybe not as intimately as the bear - but things change and we adapt. The bear will, too. It may be a reduction in it's population or maybe even it's extinction. Humans need to take this as a lesson. We tend to think everything stays the same. And in the past, except for a meteorite hitting the planet, things changed slowly. So slowly, because we had little effect on the planet, that it was not a concern from generation to generation. There are a lots more of us and we are having a greater and greater effect on our planet. And today we have the internet and CNN documenting everything, we can actually see the effect we are having. Humans are polluting this planet at an ever increasing rate. There are lots of us and lots of stuff we pour into the air. We will be effected, too. Now, what do we do? As one person or a community or a nation, we have to be sure that we are creating what we want rather than creating and then seeing what we get. Wow! All that from a couple pictures. Good post!!!!
